We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Administrator to join our Engineering Team in OneSubsea, Barrow-in-Furness.
The purpose of this role is to provide technical administrative support to the Engineering Department and to provide assistance on project work as required.
Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Responsible for GeMS (Global Engineering Management System) records sign-off including checking ECO details in accordance with Change Management Checklist, reviewing document/drawing for spelling, grammar, content and use of correct template(s).
Witness connector builds and testing when required including taking photographs and notes where applicable to create draft documentation to support ENG team; includes connector assembly, cable termination, testing, installation, etc.
Creating new Document/Part Numbers in GeMS and uploading technical documents. Assigning documentation to ECOs and generating for approval with ENG team. Proof-reading and promoting documents in GeMS as Designer in support of Draughtspersons and Design Engineers and associated GeMS work (Change Management Checklist, etc).
Updating/correcting technical documentation (procedures, etc.) in support of ENG personnel. Associated GeMS work to promote and release in DMS including ECO and Change Management Checklist creation.
Writing/editing project-specific technical documentation including FAT and Installation Procedures.
Management and update of local Diamould ENG templates.
Local ENG SharePoint support including assigning access to new starts, updating templates and folders when required, and general site administration.
Maintenance of Manufacturing Demand Form (MDF)& RAN databases.
GRS support on behalf of ENG.
Local standards administration support.
Local timesheet support. Create timesheets for new starts, create new project codes, maintain timesheet categories and active project codes and provide troubleshooting/training support where required. Generate monthly report.
Project document control including creation, maintenance and distribution of document registers, (SMDR’s/SMDL’s) and document transmittals.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Technical background – Technical Author experience.
Excellent MS Office skills – Word, Excel, Outlook.
Excellent SharePoint experience.
Excellent written English.
Excellent attention to detail.
Flexibility and ability to use initiative.
- Technical Author Diploma and/or Technical HNC/HND/Degree.
