Roles and Responsibilities:
Revenue Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling revenue data, ensuring that all financial records align with actual revenue figures.
Budget Monitoring: Participate in the monitoring and tracking of functions budgets, highlighting any variances or irregularities.
Physical Counts - Field Visit: Conduct physical counts of inventory or assets in the field and ensure that counts match with recorded data.
Shadow Accounts Payable: Learn and shadow the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor communication.
Attend Month-End Reviews: Participate in month-end financial reviews and gain insights into the closing process, financial reporting, and analysis.
Involvement in Tax: Assist in preparing tax-related documents, records, and filings as necessary.
Specific Internal Controls Mini Audits: Conduct mini-internal control audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Identify areas for improvement and assist in implementing changes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Enrolled in a post-secondary program.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
An eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
