Schlumberger Production Management (SPM)
SPM G&G ATLAS PROGRAM - Geologist
The Junior Geologist should prepare all geological support requires for new wells completions; also keep
geological data information updated as geological tops, faults, pressure data and other related to
production performance. Also, he/she should integrate special logs information to improve reservoir
understanding. He/she provides support to geological operations in case of Operations Geologists are not
available for the Project to prepare final well report for new wells. The Geologist is a key technical contributor working across different fields of Geology with basic to
intermediate understanding of Geophysics, Geomechanics or Petrophysics and a "Member" of the Schlumberger Technical Community. He/She combines knowledge of logging sensor with understanding of oil and gas geology in order to quantify and quality control geological data from Schlumberger services independent of conveyance to determine the reservoir architecture, reservoir compartmentalization,
hydrocarbon in place, and lithology or facies distribution via a single/multi well data set.
- Getting proficiency in loading data, making a cross section, editing files and transferring data and
- Elaborate cross sections and correlations to support wells completions and operational decisions
and field studies.
Update structural, sand, and properties maps required for operation follow-up.
Prepare correlation for each new well in the field, identifying geological tops and fault
intersections, following sequence stratigraphy concepts and seismic information.
- Follow training and development program followed by Senior Geologist as his/her mentor for
his/her preparation for future responsibilities.
