Job Description

Accountabilities:

  • Update and Implement the SAP Strategic Workforce Plan for Latin America

  • Develop the Bogota SAP team into an SAP Center of Excellence for the Americas (North, Middle and Latin America)

  • Ensure that the Bogota SAP team is an integral part of the Global SAP Pillar, leveraging the strength of the India SAP team to handle work that is not Americas time zone critical or that requires very specific local Americas knowledge

  • Assess whether the current local staff in Latin America are the right mix between SLB employees and SI contractors in terms of quantity and quantity; focus on outsourcing sustain activities but ensuring that more complex enhancements and projects for the Americas can be run from Bogota

  • Be a local leader for all SLB and SI SAP staff in Latin America

  • Drive with the VMO the contract management for the Americas

  • Liaise closely with the Bogota ITC Manager to ensure that the SAP team is also fully integrated in the local IT community

  • Develop sufficient leadership in the Bogota SAP team so that the team can run the SAP CoE in 2-3 years without the need for placement of India or USA staff in Bogota

  • Ensure that sufficient business knowledge of the Latin American countries (especially legal/fiscal) and North America (especially TECH and North America JVs and Acquisitions) is built to be independent of India from the knowledge perspective

  • Ensure that LA staff are excited to work for SLB SAP in Bogota

  • Participate in SAP recruitment and SI selection and evaluation for the Americas

Job Dimensions:

  • Manages locally up to 125 SAP employees and up to 25 SI staff in Latin America (this number may increase over time)

  • Oversees the integration of the entire SAP Pillar portfolio with local applications in Latin America (and in due course North America)
