Job Description

The Internship for the Rental and Repair (R&R) Category of the Field Purchasing Service Center (FPSC), is responsible for all the support needed for our Rental Extract (RADAR) Team, where are responsible to control, follow up, maintain and ensure the good behavior of our recurrent Rental and Repair Purchases orders (PO) along the Western Hemisphere and their different Geo Units and Business Lines. This follow up remains on doing changes in the Purchase Orders, oral and email communication with the internal users and the supplier, to ensure the PO matching with their invoices/quotes values, descriptions, terms and conditions.

Additionally, the Intern supports our R&R Purchasing Specialist and their functions, as ensuring items or services are purchased from specified suppliers, speeding up their RFQ responses, improving their backlog or aged requirements and ensure the services are delivered upon agreed terms and conditions, seeking maximum value for the company including agreed time and cost with the Purchasing Specialist responsible.

Support with the Transactional Quality Checks, that are similar to an internal audits that our FPSC does, to review and check randomly, if the Purchasing Specialist are submitting correctly their POs in terms of quality of price, quantity, item description, delivery times, etc.

Finally, if the Intern needs to present an academic project for their university, it strongly recommended to focus in digital solutions that ensures improvement in our Procurement process, quality of services provided, touch less efficiency and knowledge enhancement of purchasing processes, previously reviewed with FPSC Category Manager.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for all the support needed for the Rental Extract Team (RADAR).

  • Support the aged purchase requests of the Purchasing Specialist when needed. This actions need to be monitored by the Purchasing Specialist owner of the request, or the Mentor.

  • Follow up and ensure by Transactional Quality checks that a PO is created correctly (BORG info, SAP minimum facts, currencies, delivery times, quantity, etc.).

  • Constant communication (verbal and email) with the Supplier and Internal Users about our R&R Purchase Orders.

  • Proactively perform trainings of the correct use of RADAR to our Suppliers and Internal Customers. Also, perform recurrent trainings to our Internal customers about the correct way to create purchase orders (detail description, correct commodity usage, delivery times, etc.).

  • Escalate complex issues to the R&R Category Procurement Leader.

  • Perform and enhance the knowledge management of the R&R Team.

  • Perform problem solving for noncomplex issues with operations users.

  • Propose documentation changes and process improvements when required.

  • Track deviations and raise nonconformances in QUEST.

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.

  • Use all required procurement tools when required or mandated by process (SAP, RADAR, PowerBI, Ariba, ASL, QUEST).

  • Interest to create experience and career in Procurement, Supply Services or Purchasing.

  • Excellent attitude, presentation skills, teamwork, committed and responsible.

  • Pro activity and result focus oriented. Very good communication (verbal and writing).

  • Intermediate English Level prefered. Portuguese Level will be a strong plus.

  • Interest to learn about Oil, Gas and Energy Industry.
