The Mechanical Technician is responsible for providing repair and or testing of various customers valve equipment as per operational demand, improving efficiency and asset utilization. Roles and Responsibilities
Work independently under minimal supervision on customer equipment.
Perform dismantle, inspection, assembly, and testing of various types of valve assemblies.
Responsible to support a continuous improvement culture, attend training programs, & initiatives.
Actively engaged in a safe work environment as well as participate in a HSE culture (training, safety observations system, daily safety meetings)
Perform pressure testing operations on various types of equipment (rigorous training provided)
Responsible to implement reliability practices.
Responsible for daily inspections of equipment, regular upkeep of various shop tools, reporting and scheduling of equipment in need of regular maintenance/repair.
Responsible for a clean work area, care of and maintain hand tools.
Utilize maintenance business systems to reach full cost, time, and equipment traceability for maintenance performance (movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain).
When relevant participate to failure investigations
Follow fixed-step training program and ensure his/her training is on schedule and accurately recorded.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
Must have the minimum of a high school certification and 2-year similar or relevant experience.
Preference of working in an industrial center.
Mechanical experience preferred.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
