Job Summary:
To perform Welding, cladding, Grinding, Gouging, Flame Cutting, Material Handling and
other relevant fabrication activities in line with Engineering drawing, WPS and manufacturing
orders without compromising on Quality, Health and Safety
Read-understand Engineering Drawing, WPS, Welding symbols and Work Orders.
• Perform welding or overlay work with appropriate material using both manual and /
or automated process following above said documents
• Set up, Operate and maintain welding machinery & other related equipment in the
workshop.
• Fill up and maintain weld map and sign off the Work orders accordingly after
completion of work
• Inspect and maintain all tools required for the job. Should be part of Continuous
Improvement Team to improve cycle time & reduce defect
• Do proper housekeeping in work area and do 5S inspection accordingly to schedule
• Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist as required in gouging, flame cutting, grinding, material handling or other
related work in difficult condition onsite, offsite or customer locations as & when
required.
• Perform all duties as assigned by department head.
• Ensure compliance to all health, safety and environment policies
• To adhere to all company and legal requirement as per Johor-WI-A03-Roles
• Responsibilities, Accountability and Authority (HSSE) document

Minimum Job Qualifications:
Minimum Certificate / Diploma in welding technologyWorking experience as a welder in heavy industry for at least 5 years.Minimum qualification should be 1G, 2G and 3G with minimum SMAW, GTAW and GMAW processes.
