Schlumberger Software Team Leader in Houston, Texas

Schlumberger Technology Corporation seeks a Team Leader to work in Houston, Texas.

JOB DUTIES: Plan, supervise a small (typically fewer than 8) team of staff, and work with the Software Program/Project Manager and team members to identify and organize the best approach to executing the tasks required for the project, ensuring that the team follows the applicable Product Development Process and adheres to all of the relevant Standards and Procedures while delivering the sub-system or sub-elements in time and at the necessary level of quality to respect the parent project requirements, timeline, and budget. Additionally, monitor and guide good working practices relating to QHSE, technical rigour, professional behavior, and team performance, maintaining the necessary expertise through training and development. Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify requirements, turn them into functionality, and develop and maintain high-quality software, including structuring single-page applications for ease of maintenance and modularization. Build and publish docker images, engineer a fully managed caching memory store, and implement functional code handlers following dependency injection through singleton design pattern. Share expertise across the organization, including providing user training for APIs, developing server-side logic, defining and maintaining the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from front-end developers. Keep abreast of technical concepts and markets, optimize infrastructure consumption for cost-cutting and efficiency, and provide technical leadership and documentation to developers and stakeholders.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics Engineering.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years as a Software Engineer or related occupation working with Golang, Python as well as experience with DevOps technologies like Docker, Argo, and industry standard security protocols like OpenID connect, OAuth 2.0, and Database management in cloud environments.

ALTERNATE EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering.

ALTERNATE EXPERIENCE: 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation working with Golang, Python as well as experience with DevOps technologies like Docker, Argo + experience with industry standard security protocols like OpenID connect, OAuth 2.0 + Database management in cloud environments.
