OneSubsea Leeds

Within OneSubsea, the Leeds site is recognised as an Engineering and Project Execution center of excellence, as well as a talent development hub. There are over 360 employees on site including over 140 engineers. We have all the typical functions you would expect from an industry leading Engineering site, with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Supply Chain, Tendering, HR and more functions all represented. Our teams are engaged in all aspects of the full Project lifecycle from Exploration, to Design, through Delivery, into Installation and Aftermarket Support.

The Leeds site was fully refurbished in 2019 to an exceptional standard with multiple meeting rooms, break-out/collaboration areas and quiet zones to cater for all our team’s needs.

Project Engineer

Project Engineers are at the front end of the Engineering department; they drive execution of Projects, liaising and interfacing with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities of the Lead Engineer roles include:

  • Overseeing large projects that can vary in scope from 5 MUSD up to 200 MUSD over a typical duration of 12-24 months.

  • To lead engineering projects through execution, bringing the various internal stakeholders together and liaising with the client.

  • Responsible for the top level design and documentation, including testing procedures, assembly drawings, design specifications, schematics and operating manuals.

  • Leading project design reviews both internal and external.

  • Providing regular updates to Engineering Management on the status and progress of assigned projects

  • Supporting the project through the build and testing phase.

  • Perform specification review and provide technical guidance.

  • Discuss the customer’s requirements and identify OneSubsea products which meet these.

  • Adherence to OneSubsea and SLB internal processes.

  • To ensure all work is undertaken in a safe manner in line with company health and safety guidelines.

  • To reflect and promote SLB mindset of Commitment, Integrity, Teamwork and Drive.

  • Maintain familiarity with Company technology, organisation, and business. Understand and provide technical solutions according to OneSubsea strategy.

Ideally applicants must have the following experience/skills:

  • Degree in Engineering or suitable alternative qualification plus suitable experience.

  • Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills

  • Problem solving ability.

  • PC literacy; experience in the following packages ideal but training will be offered: SAP/PLM, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MathCad, AutoCad and Inventor or other similar 3D CAD package.
