Job Description:

Determine, implement and research designs and solutions to allow users to see and interact with them in augmented and virtual reality. Lead and mentor other developers. Determine what XR programming languages are used in development and establish workflow practices across teams. Collaborate with the Product Software Architect to define and implement the Product Line roadmap. Develop and maintain the architectural artifacts for a project prior to the feasibility launch, consisting of design model, architecture document, architectural bootstrapping session, assessment and working prototype of a candidate architecture. Collaborate closely with designers, other developers, and 3D artists to create cutting-edge XR experiences that push the boundaries of technology. Collaborate and communicate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and product champions to ensure that the architecture addresses product development and business goals. Lead, manage, and guide development and research efforts teams throughout the development process. Ensure that the product development team implements the product architecture properly. Present technical overviews and progress reports to various stakeholders.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

Must have a Master’s Degree, or foreign educational equivalent, in Computer Science, or a related IT field. Must have at least 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Virtual Reality Developer, Augmented Reality Developer, or a related Developer occupation. The 3 years of experience must include experience with Extended Reality development; programming languages including C# and C++; game engines including Unity and Unreal; game engine components including graphics, physics, input management, audio, and Artificial Intelligence; Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality Concepts; AR/VR software development kits; libraries including Open XR, Steam VR, AR Core, ARKit, AR Foundation and Mixed Reality Tool Kit to build visually stunning and highly functional AR/VR; XR platforms, technologies and design principles including VR, AR, and Mixed Reality; 3D modeling, animation and rendering techniques; Azure; Google Cloud; and User experience (UX) design principles.

Compensation for this role between $195,000 - $205,000/year
