Schlumberger Software Architect in Sugar Land, Texas

Schlumberger Technology Corporation seeks an Acquisition Automation Software Architect.

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for utilizing knowledge of well-site acquisition software tools and processes to develop architectural contributions to projects in the critical design or evaluation phase, ensuring that the project addresses the business and integration objectives of the Product Line. Collaborate on and maintain the architectural artifacts for a project prior to feasibility launch, consisting of design model, architecture document, architectural bootstrapping session, assessment and working prototype of a candidate architecture. Ensure that the architecture addresses product development and business goals. Ensure product development team implements the product architecture properly. Responsible for the Acquisition Automation Software architecture, development, and deployment of the next generation wireline wellsite system, that enables integration and autonomous operation of downhole equipment and surface acquisition system. Work with multiple Schlumberger R&D centers worldwide, applying knowledge of well-site acquisition software, equipment, systems, and technologies to develop cutting-edge software products that enable wellsite autonomous operations for Schlumberger. Running the wellsite, used to control the Schlumberger specific downhole and subsurface equipment and software, and the specific cloud applications used to deliver wellsite services to clients. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week

Minimum Education: Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent.

Minimum Experience : 5 years' experience analyzing, designing, and developing software solutions roadmaps and implementation plan based on current vs. future state of the business in the oil & gas industry; designing architecting, and deploying edge solutions for enterprise-scale applications in technical support and software development; in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, .Net + 5 years' experience in design, implementation or consulting in applications or infrastructures; + 1 year experience with Docker, Kubernetes, automation tool; with specific technology domain areas such as edge computing, systems engineering, infrastructure security, monitoring, networking, data and analytics
