Schlumberger Geomechanics Engineer in Villahermosa, Mexico
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Geomechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing geomechanical engineering support, ensuring the stability and integrity of our projects through advanced modeling and analysis.
Responsibilities and requirements
Proven experience in 1D geomechanical model creation projects. Technical knowledge of the 10-step methodology with an emphasis on rock mechanics, stress calculation, and anisotropy.
Experience in numerical modeling and simulation of geomechanical processes using 3D and 4D finite element methods.
Availability to work onboard rig to execute real-time jobs.
Provide expert geomechanical advice to support drilling activities, including Real-Time Pore Pressure Analysis and Wellbore Stability Analysis.
Experience using SLB software: Techlog and Petrel.
Proficiency in English is mandatory for direct, effective, and real-time communication with IOCs.
More than 10 years of relevant experience in geomechanical engineering.
Experience in delivering geomechanics courses/workshops in both Spanish and English.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geomechanical insights into project planning and decision-making.
Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, enhancing their skills in geomechanical analysis and modeling.
