Schlumberger VALVE ENGINEER in Ville Platte, Louisiana
The Valve Engineer provides engineering support for all aspects of the assigned product line to ensure functionality, quality, cost, and schedule by performing the following duties.
Analyze in-house and field problems and create/submit root cause analysis reports.
Recommend improvements in all areas related to product design.
Assure compliance with NACE, API, ISO, and ASME codes.
Work with Field Services, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering to enhance product design and solve design-related problems.
Communicate technical requirements to vendors on new and existing purchased items.
Review and resolve disposition requests initiated by the Quality Department.
Work with Order Management on the design of new valve applications and/or accessories.
Remain current with engineering technology and 3D solid modeling and CAD/CAM applications for design and documentation.
Create engineering bills of materials, manufacturing drawings, and testing procedures as required through SAP/Optimus for production orders.
Work with Technical Services, Sales and engineers and drafters to coordinate workload in support of customer orders.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
Microsoft Office Suite
